In an effort to make outlets easier to access, designers at the Dankook University in South Korea developed an angled outlet. The concept design is entitled '33° Outlet' and allows users to plug in their devices with ease. Since many outlets are located at low places, the added angle allows for easy access. As a result, users can simply plug their devices in with one smooth motion.
Designers Yun Kim, Mi Jang, Sungmin Hong, Yubin Choi and Seokgyu Hwang created the outlet as an entry in the 2013 IDEA Awards. The 33° Outlet makes the lives of users easier by being easy to find and use. The angled feature of the plug makes it easier to locate from a high vantage point.
