Chromatic Triplet Captures

This Aneta Mackonyte Series is Kinetic and Colorful

London-based fashion stylist Aneta Mackonyte's recent series 'RainboWarrior' is an unabashed explosion of color and movement. In each frame, model Mary-Anne Weaver wears outfits reminiscent of kimonos and ponchos as she darts about in various directions. Photographer Kenny McCracken shot and manipulated the series in such a way that Weaver is accompanied by two ghostly doppelgangers. This adds to the photography's sense of movement as all of Weaver's actions are amplified through her translucent twins.

Recently there has been a proliferation of intensely colorful, boldly patterned clothing; Kimono-inspired fashion has also made its presence felt -- and why not? As Aneta Mackonyte demonstrates so keenly in this series, punchy, vibrant looks produce a reflexive and immediate visual reaction; if the point is to stand out, then these styles are doing their job.
