Luxury Swiss Smartwatches

Android Wear is Now Available for Tag Heuer Watches

Google has joined forces with Tag Heuer to offer Android Wear software to luxury watches for the first time.

The Swiss watchmaker is known for its partnership with Formula 1 and other sporting events, and its beautiful analog timepieces can range from anywhere between just under a grand, to the five-figure territory. Though Tag Heuer is not a powerhouse brand in the same way Rolex is, it has more luxury sway in the industry than a lot of smartphone and watch companies.

The Tag Heuer watches with Android Wear will be the first to include Intel, which will be facilitating the internal components and sensors for the smartwatches. Though not much detail about the watch designs, or their pricing, are available yet, they will be "focus[ed] on the quality and performance that are expected from Tag Heuer."
