Sunset-Integrated Abandoned Scene Paintings

Andrew Mcintosh Combines Sunsets with Old Buildings

Andrew McIntosh, a Scottish artist, has a talent for linking unexpected scenes together, with his recent series captivating viewers by inviting them to wonder what lies beyond something that might at first seem completely ordinary.

He does this by adding beautiful nature scenes into others. While many of the paintings feature abandoned trailers out in the wild, a selection use more urban areas. For example, one piece depicts a multi-level city building with a cutout that reveals a bright blue body of water on the corner of it. Another shows what looks to be a tiny house or a farm shed surrounded by overgrown grass, with the side of one wall taken over by a warm sunset.
