Groundbreaking Electric Box Cars

The Ample Eo Has Been Dubbed the World's First E-Quadricycle

As much as Americans love their big cars, there's a chance that the whole world might be driving something similar to the Ample Eo sooner rather than later. The Eo is a three-seat electric quadricycle created by Ample International and unveiled at the Electric Vehicle Symposium in Los Angeles. The compact vehicle has a boxy shape, strikingly similar to the design of the early Scion xB.

The Ample Eo and Scion xB may look alike, but they are powered in completely different ways. The electric quadricycle has a top speed of 40mph and a surprisingly long max range of 124 miles. Those numbers aren't bad, especially when you consider the fact that the Eo will probably be priced to move due to its lack of creature comforts.
