The Amethyst X-1 Docking System is a nifty looking set of speakers, but looks aside, it's the fact that it's IR-controlled that really makes it stand out from everything else on the market.
When I say IR-controlled, what I mean is that the Amethyst X-1 Docking System is controlled via hand gestures. With a simple wave, users can play, pause, stop and select songs off their devices. Of course, like many docks, this will charge the device while it's in use. The Amethyst X-1 is also compatible with several MP3 players and is not limited to just Apple products. There's also a remote that comes with it, but I'm sure most people would prefer the fun of waving their hands to control the dock instead.
