Google Assistant Has an Ambient Mode with Control Capabilities

Google recently outlined how Google Assistant ambient mode will be able to work with a user's smartphone, and it can turn the phone into a smart display. Ambient mode was created so users would have the ability to access a device while it's charging. The new feature will enable users to scroll photos, play music, and control a smart home device while their phone charges.

The new capabilities allow users to access Google Assistant functions through another device. Arvind Chandrababu, the Android product manager spoke on the new feature, "Now with one tap, you can set the alarm, you can look at what time your first meeting is the next day, you can turn off the lights and you can also have a slide show of your photo memories." Chandrababu also stated that the new ambient mode is integrated with the existing Android operating system.
