Teen eCommerce Accounts

Amazon for Teens Lets Youth Shop Independently from Parents' Orders

Amazon For Teens introduces a new kind of connected account for youth that will operate with a separate login from a parent's account, but still keep them in the loop with the final say on whether or not a product may be ordered.

With Amazon For Teens, kids are able to place an order for purchase from their own account. Parents are then notified to review the order via the Amazon app and give the go-ahead for a transaction to be carried out simply by responding with "Y."

Alternatively, parents may also turn off approvals, which will make it possible for a teen to shop Amazon without needing parental approval first. With this setting, parents may also set pre-approved spending limits as a safety.
