Islamic High Fashion

Amal Al Ra'aes' Collection

A fashion show in Bahrain earlier this month was an extravagant showcase of beautiful, Islamic designs. There were collections from a range of top designers from the Gulf including Amal Al Ra'aes and Kubra al Qaseer.

The colorful collection by Al Ra'aes included stone-encrusted loose burqas, head scarfs and chador (face covering). The fashion designer seeks to uphold Islamic traditional women's dress and to infuse it with an Arab dress style that is ancient and very unique. Al Ra'aes is featured in the last picture in the gallery.
