Alsym Energy Spoke About its Upcoming Electric Power Solution

Alsym Energy is a Massachusetts-based startup that recently emerged from stealth in order to speak about its proprietary battery-power solution. The solution involves a water-based battery that incorporates entirely recyclable materials in order to address nearly every aspect of lithium-ion batteries that is criticized.

According to Alsym Energy, these batteries are cheaper to manufacture, cheaper to recharge, more sustainable, easier to recycle, and are not flammable, which are all large downfalls of current lithium-ion batteries. Two things that Alsym Energy is focusing on is cost reduction and circularity. It believes that these batteries have countless applications from powering electric vehicles to storing off-grid energy for countries around the world.

Alsym Energy stated that "It cannot be 1% of the people buying expensive luxury EVs," meaning that it wants its solution to be affordable enough that it can become a large contributor to the replacement of combustion engines and gas-powered cars.
