Spain's ALSA Pequebus is Designed for Riders Under the Age of Five

Kids in Spain may be getting a little more leeway to travel on their own thanks to the ALSA Pequebus. The new service is designed to cater to child travelers.

The bus is designed to carry kids age five and under and comes equipped with car-seats and luggage racks modified to fit strollers. Children on the bus are given an ID card listing their basic stats as well as medical history and the names of the people allowed to pick them up. Parents can monitor their kid's trip via the ALSA Pequebus website, letting them know exactly what time to arrive for a prompt pickup. The program is undergoing test trials in Madrid now, with the service priced at 1 EUR a ride.
