Japanese architect Keiji Ashizawa is the creative mind behind the interior design of the Aloop Clinic & Lab, which is a skincare clinic in Tokyo. The space is detailed with textiles and bespoke custom-made furniture that aims to create a space more reflective of a home than a medical space. It is run by local beauty brand POLA and Ashizawa worked to create a calm space for a peaceful aesthetic whilst honoring the brand.

Ashizawa tells Dezeen about the clinic's goal of creating a tranquil space, stating "As a clinic that uses medical technology to deal with beauty, we thought that the space should have sincerity, calmness, and beauty to create a comfortable time for customers to feel at ease. In addition, considering that this is a completely new business for the POLA beauty brand, we felt that it was necessary to create a space that would enhance the brand."
