Expressive Beauty Editorials

Hedvig Palm and Ester Heesch Star in Allure's January Issue

Hedvig Palm and Ester Heesch star in the 'Cooler Heads' editorial for Allure's January 2015 issue.

The hair and makeup really took the cake in this editorial. Hair stylist Odile Gilbert wasn't afraid to experiment, whether it was with retro-style beehives, gorgeous and elaborate plaits or manic-looking buns, piled at the top of his model's head. Similarly, the makeup artist for the shoot, simply known as Dotti, played with unexpected color in unusual places. For example, navy eyebrows, turquoise stripes on the eyelids and neon-pink eyshadow rimming the eyes top-to-bottom. Fashion editor Siobhan Bonnouvirier sealed the look together with colorful, vintage-inspired garments.

The legendary Patrick Demarchelier photographed the girls for the 2015 issue of Allure US.
