Gritty Factory Modeling

The Alexander Wang Fall 2011 Campaign Gets Down and Dirty

The Alexander Wang Fall 2011 campaign is only the designer's second campaign ever, but 27-year-old Wang certainly knows what he's doing. The campaign is set in an old, abandoned grain factory from the 1920s and stars Brazilian beauty Raquel Zimmermann. Photographed by Fabien Baron and styled by Karl Templer, who frequently collaborates with Alexander Wang, the preview image is quite stunning.

Dressed in all black and donning soaking wet hair, Zimmermann is striking in the Alexander Wang Fall 2011 campaign.

"We wanted something really gritty and raw to contrast with the polished richness of what we showed on fall runway," explained Wang when asked about the inspiration behind the campaign.

The video that goes along with the shot will be projected in a few Manhattan locations starting July 13th at 9pm and will continue to be showcased on the nights of July 14th and 15th.

For non-New Yorkers, the video will be available at alexanderwang.com on July 14th.
