Elaborate Ornamental Headpieces

Alessandro Mengozzi Makes Fashionista's Heads Beautiful

These stunning couture hat designs by Italian fashion designer Alessandro Mengozzi are mixed media works of art created from metal, cloth, fur, feathers and textiles. Mengozzi graduated from the Marangoni Fashion Institute in 2009 and has been creating noir-inspired ornamental headpieces ever since.

The up-and-coming "mad hatter" of the fashion world, Mengozzi takes his inspiration from the natural world with stones, paper, hair and metal being just some of the textures used in his elaborate designs. His multi-dimensional headpieces merge sculptural form with noir aesthetics, fusing art and fashion in his own unique signature style.

Alessandro Mengozzi’s work in couture and street-style headwear can be seen gracing magazine covers and runways internationally. The first collection of this young designer launched this summer under his IAM label.
