The New Airbus A350-900 Will Service 19-Hour Direct Flights

The newest version of Airbus A350-900 commercial airliner, the Airbus A350-900ULR (Ultra-Long Range), is designed to operate the world's longest direct flight thanks to its ability to fly for up to 19 hours non-stop.

This airliner boasts a range of up to 16,112 km, and has been tapped by Singapore Airlines to operate direct flights from Singapore to Los Angeles and Singapore to New York.

The Airbus A350-900 can fly these ridiculous distances thanks to a number of changes made to its construction. These include a modified fuel setup that increases its fuel-carrying capacity from 141,000 liters to 165,000 liters, a range of aerodynamic refinements and an increase in the maximum take-off weight to 309 tons.
