AI Shopping Assistants

At CES 2018, Suning and Emotibot Introduced the Smart Retail Solution 'Sue'

At CES 2018, leading Chinese retailer Suning and Chinese AI technology firm Emotibot introduced the world to 'Sue,' an AI shopping assistant and smart retail solution.

AI shopping assistant leverages Emotibot's multi-modal Emotional Intelligence Platform, Conversational AI (CAI) engine and Emotion Recognition Engine (ERE) in order to identify 22 emotional states. By reading a consumer's facial expressions, voice and emotions, the smart shopping assistant has the ability to carry out intelligent conversations. As Sue can also determine a shopper's age, gender, hair style, beard style and skin quality, the artificial intelligence system is capable of offering in-depth product information, recommendations, consultations and even helpful customer service after a sale has been made.

Sue is set to be launched in Suning's brick-and-mortar stores across China throughout 2018.
