Garden Shed-Like Homes

AF Bostader Created Sweden's 'Smallest' Apartment for Students

What at first appears to look like a garden shed is actually an apartment for students designed by AF Bostader. Although touted as the smallest flat in Lund, Sweden, that hasn't deterred students to compete living in a space that is under 12 square meters. Considering that it costs a low 2500 kronor (about $370) a month, that comes as no surprise. Plus, AF Bostader has ensured that the space is as stylish as possible.

AF Bostader has outfitted Sweden's 'smallest' apartment with a sleeping loft, kitchenette with dining area, a bathroom and study area. In addition to competing for the space, AF Bostader asks the lucky tenants to earn their keep by blogging about their experience living there.

Currently, AF Bostader has only built one such apartment, but hopes to build more.
