Jingle-Composition Competitions

Russia's Aeroflot Airline is Seeking an English Language Jingle

Russian state-run airline Aeroflot is offering big bucks to anybody who can compose a new English-language jingle for the brand. Aeroflot has released a request for proposals that details what kind of jingle the airline is looking for, as well as details on the prize for the winning composition -- 5.8 million Russian rubles, just under $160,000.

The new jingle obviously must include the word 'Aeroflot' and must be catchy, completely original and fully devoid of profanity. It must be composed of three verses and three choruses and must not mention any other brands. It should also come with a Russian translation.

Aeroflot even included a helpful list of songs that give budding winners an idea of the kind of jingle they should be aiming for. Songs include Amy Winehouse's 'Rehab', Carly Rae Jepsen's 'Call Me Maybe' and Coldplay's 'Viva La Vida'.
