The Acompli app wants to make email easy for everyone. It is an email app that was recently released to make it easier for users to use their email while they are busy or on the go. The app currently supports Gmail and Microsoft Exchange email accounts. The app includes features like fast search capabilities, file discovery and it also has a built-in calendar. All of this makes switching between emails and calendar appointments very easy and simple.
Javier Soltero is the Acompli CEO and cofounder and he said that the apps like Mailbox emphasize deferring messages rather than improving the experience people have using email on their mobile devices. Soltero said that "Email, particularly when it comes to mobile professionals, is pretty limited. It's almost like we've given up on building a truly innovative experience that leverages the capabilities unique to smartphones."
