Voice-Activated Accessibility Toys

360i Created a Toy Line for People Living with Paralysis

360i has developed accessible toys that enable people living with paralysis to participate in playing games with their loved ones. Working with the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation and AXIOS, the brand made adjustments to popular toys, such as pitching machines and race cars. Using voice activation, the 'Adaptoy' line gives people the tools to be able to more actively participate in playing games with their children.

Looking to fund the collection, 360i has created a short video that shows how the Adaptoy line works and tells the stories of different families who live with disability. Grandmother of three, Donna Lowich, is shown using voice activation to play a game of baseball with her granddaughter. Former football player Eric Legrand is able to physically play with his nephews for the first time with with use of the accessible toys. 360i explains its goal by saying: "I think what the work brings forward is that the physical limitations sometimes become the emotional limitations in making this connection between the family member and the child, and that's what we're trying to overcome here."
