Singer/songwriter/artist David Byrne has created a series of Absurdist iPhone Apps for an upcoming art show. The apps were created for the upcoming 'Social Media' exhibit at New York City's The Pace Gallery.
The three faux apps created by Byrne are Invisible Me, Weaselface (my favorite) and Childster. Invisible Me is used to reply to every incoming text and email you receive with an option to upgrade the app to accept packages and deliveries at home. Weaselface is used to make you sound more interesting via text or email by automatically making your writing more snarky. Childster is perhaps the most functional of all of these fictional apps, turning your iPhone into a full-blown babysitter.
