Dissecting Vodka

Absolut Ad Mixes Media

This ad for Absolut vodka shows a dissection of a bottle of vodka. What's special aboutt his ad is that although the glass dissection shown is computer-generated, the water filmed in the ad is the real deal.

A balloon with the same shape as the bottle filled with water was blown up and filmed at 8,000 frames per second. Using the high speed camera, the designers were able to capture the water keeping the shape of the bottle for a few seconds before the water splashed away.

It was designed by the agency MassMarket for the TBWA\Chiat\Day of New York.
