Take a very close look at A Woman's Work is Never Done. Believe it or not, these images are not the products of photo manipulation, the artist really did take a needle and thread to her very own left and hand, stitching across her palm and each of her fingers.
Eliza Bennett used white, pink, red and purple embroidery string as colors that you'd find in bruises, blisters, cuts and scabs. Led by a piercing pin, the thread was fed through the outer layer of the artist's skin into loose basting, forming lines and cross hatching that resemble work-worn wounds.
