Discover the Making of the Novum Magazine Cover

Extremely colourful and foldable, the Novum magazine (a German design magazine) cover was inspired by Richard Buckminster Fuller. The bright and geometrically-patterned cover creates a paper metamorphosis and allows readers to bend and fold the cover in anyway they like.

More than 1.000 triangles were die-cut into the surface of the paper, creating a truly unique look and feeling. The cover is foldable, bendable and changeable. In 48.000 printing passes and with more than 140 die-cuts per cover, this was a very intricate production.

The colour effect with different combinations was reached by merely exchanging the order of the printing plates (CMYK).
