'A Brief History of Video Games' Summarizes 40 Years in 3 Minutes

In under three minutes, the video 'A Brief History of Video Games' displays extensive short clips of popular games. Created by digital creative agency Reverse Enginears, the video was produced for technology-focused news publication The Verge's gaming hub Polygon.

The entirety of the video consists solely of video, sounds and music from the games, starting of course with the classic game ‘Pong,’ then showing how far video games have developed over the years. Some other featured games are Super Mario Bros, Mortal Kombat, Zelda, Halo, Gear of War, and my personal favorite, Street Fighter.

The entire video demonstrate Reverse Enginears' A/V re-sequencing skills in this solid video that takes you from the nostalgia of the old to the awesomeness of the new.
