Sustainable 3D-Printing Pens

The Renegade Pen Uses Plastic Strips Derived From Bottles

The Renegade is an exceptionally designed and engineered 3D-printing pen that is designed to be more sustainable than previous alternatives.

While there are a growing number of 3D-printing pens available on the market today, they tend to use up highly copious amounts of plastic, something that renders the whole process of using a 3D-printing instrument both expensive and harmful to the environment.

Currently the subject of a crowdfunding campaign over at Kickstarter, the Renegade 3D-printing pen makes use of plastic strips sourced from bottles and other plastic material. The device even comes with a special instrument, called the ChupaCut, that customers can use to convert plastic bottles into ribbons.

The Renegade 3D-printing pen is a fine example of an already new technology being furiously innovated upon to make it more eco-friendly.
