Girard-Perregaux and Aston Martin Reveal the Laureato

Luxury Swiss watch brand Girard-Perregaux has teamed up with luxury car brand Aston Martin to launch a special edition British car racing-Inspired timepiece of its signature Laureato model as a tribute to British car racing culture. The limited-edition timepiece will be wrapped in a green ceramic build in 42mm and 38mm case sizes.

The timepiece is an homage to traditional British race cars for the country. The dial contains skeletonized baton-type hour and minute hands with a cross-hatch patterned dial. The dial refers to the quilted seats of Aston Martin’s high-performance cars. The timepiece also comprises an octagonal bezel in an upgraded ceramic build made with zirconium oxide and metallic oxides. Additionally, the body is seven times more durable than steel. There is also a sapphire crystal case back with a white Aston Martin logo. There are only 188 units available, with the 38mm version available for $25,000 each. As for the 42mm version, there are only 388 units available for $25,800 each.
