New Balance Unveils a Celebratory 996 Sneaker Model

New Balance introduces a new iteration of the 996 sneaker model as it celebrates its 35th anniversary this year. The timeless silhouette gets a slew of minimal palettes for a versatile design language. It comes in the classic New Balance grey or navy blue.

The most defining feature is the retro logo that is seen detailing the lateral side of the shoe's upper. This can be customized with a removable hangtag -- this is done in a matching suede texture. The N logo attaches to the laces and acts as a three-dimensional branding detail that slightly changes the shape of the sneaker. When the tag is removed, it is an ultra-minimal look and will launch on July 28th.
