The 50 Problems in 50 Days Project Applies Design to European Obstacles

The ‘50 Problems in 50 Days’ project is the artistic adventurers dream. Peter Smart, a UK-based design specialist, has taken it upon himself to travel across Europe in an attempt to test the limits of architecture, illustration, layout and virtually any creative medium with substance.

50 Problems in 50 Days aims to apply design concepts to everyday dilemmas. Among the issues addressed by Smart have been offline navigation, wet socks, unwritten rules and pickpocketing, all of which have been attacked at all angles via the initiation of visual and entirely original frameworks.

Smart’s partnership 12 European design firms has been essential to his success. And while he has reached out to multiple teams, his focus on simple and direct solutions has remained consistent throughout his execution of the 50 Problems in 50 Days venture.
