3-D Tongues

Japanese Subway Ads

3-D tongues probably aren't the first thing that comes to mind when you think about a Japanese subway station, but then again, Tokyo is filled with the unexpected. The plastic, human-sized Pepto-Bismol pink tongues were spotted at Ometesando station on glossy boards of the same color, with white text on each tongue hinting at reasons why having fresh breath might be a good idea.

The intention of these enormous tongues? To raise awareness for Reach toothbrushes, specifically, those with the tongue scraper pad on the back.

They definitely encourage brand interaction. A C-Scout Japan rep said the ads were getting quite a bit of hands on attention; old and young were walking up to touch and attempt to lift the giant tongues.
