The Nintendo 2DS Console Has Arrived in Japan with a Pokemon Theme

While the Nintendo 2DS console might've launched a while ago in the United State market, the device has just been introduced in Japan where the console has been given a limited-edition overhaul to the delight of fans across the country.

Featuring a limited-edition Pokemon theme available in four different color options, the Nintendo 2DS console is created as a celebration of both the arrival of the product in Japan as well as the 20th anniversary of the digital animated game series.

Being made available at the end of February 2016, the Nintendo 2DS console is backwards compatible and will work with 3DS games as well as newer titles.

The slate-inspired device is the brand's response to demand for products that are more affordable for the mainstream consumer.
