Luxurious Gold Cribs

A Polish Design Duo Has Created a 24-Karat Gold Crib That Costs Over $200,000

Creators Marta Buzalska and Darius Panczyk have taken child-care to a whole new level with the creation of a 24-karat gold crib. The crib features a gold plated exterior as well as a leather interior made from the same material as the seats in Maseratis. The interior leather features Swarovski embellishments, meant to reference the stars in the night sky. The mattress of the crib is flexible, totally natural and hypoallergenic, and was chosen to mimic the feel of being in the womb.

The 24-karat gold crib was designed to function not just as a luxury piece of furniture, but to also be an incredibly comfortable bed for infants. The crib was supposedly intended for infants born prematurely. The crib currently costs $60,000 and takes an alleged 200,000 man hours to construct. A black and white model of the crib are also available at a reduced cost of just $5,700.
