Tarkett Debuts Its Johnsonite® 2026 Colors of the Year

The flooring and surfaces company Tarkett has introduced its Johnsonite® 2026 Colors of the Year. The collection comprises seven distinct hues developed through an experimental process of extracting dyes directly from organic materials.

The Johnsonite® 2026 Colors of the Year palette draws inspiration from " the untamed expressions of wild earth." The shades include Turmeric Gold, Smoked Paprika, Showy Zinnia, Red Cabbage, Sweet Onion, Cool as a Cuke, and Blue Kale. Tarkett notes that the selection process for the Johnsonite® 2026 Colors of the Year was deliberately analog and hands-on, with the design team using cloth as a canvas to capture the raw, unrefined colors produced by the boiling of these natural sources.

These new colors will be integrated across the brand’s commercial product lines, including flooring tiles, wall bases, and stair components.
