The 2012 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance Shows World's Best Autos

It has come to the end of the 2012 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance car show and competition, and this year there were many eye-catching vehicles that you just don't see everyday. The car show included cars from 33 states and 15 countries. Out of all these rare automobiles the winner of the Best of Show award was a 1928 Mercedes-Benz 608S Saoutchik Torpedo.

The 2012 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance had participants and their vehicles compete in 20 standard categories and 7 special ones. Two of the categories, the Maharaja and Maharaja Rolls-Royce categories, were specifically for cars that had formerly been owned by Indian royalty. Another exciting special category was reserved for German motorcycles.

These cars are really the creme of the crop. Why don't they make them like they used to?
