This Video Presents 138 Skydivers Breaking a Vertical World Record

In this video, 138 skydivers break the vertical world record in Northern Illinois on August 4th, 2012.

The 138 skydivers fell from the sky at speeds up to 220 miles per hour the other day and formed together to create a giant snowflake in the sky. Judges from the Federation Aeronautique Internationale were there to judge the stunt. Performed just over Ottawa, Illinois, 138 certified skydivers attempted to create the formation 15 times over the span of three days, and were finally successful on Friday evening.

The previous record to break consisted of 108 skydivers back in 2009. An organizer and Skydive Chicago owner had this to say about the stunt, "There was a lot of emotion and a lot of days where we should have got it. But we dug down deep and stuck at it."
