Located in the beautiful Chiang Mai in the northern part of Thailand, the 137 Pillars House is actually a hotel that has 30 rooms for guests. The design is based on colonial-era Thailand, and the outside area aims to be similar to that of a traditional village. Moreover, the design encourages people to talk to one another, instead of staying tucked away in their rooms and out of sight.
Existing architecture for the building was kept in place, but updated to modernize the entire area. P Landscape was the firm that came up with the new design for the place, and did a great job with integrating Thai history with the look for this hotel in Chiang Mai.
