Gaming streaming platform Twitch has teamed up with 1000 Dreams Fund (1DF) to host a fundraising event that aims to empower women in the often male-dominated broadcasting field. 1000 Dreams Fund aims to accomplish this with the help of its Twitch-supported BroadcastHER grant which Twitch affiliates and partners can access.
Helping 60 women and raising $45, 000 last year alone, the Twitch and 1000 Dreams Fund fundraiser returns for a second year and will once again be hosted during International Women's Month. 1000 Dreams Fund's BroadcastHER grant empowers women by offering financial assistance for creative pursuits, gaming conference travel costs, hardware and training programs. Additionally, the grant supports any instructional or training programs for women looking to perfect specific skills.
