Gender Bending Editorials

The 032C Alasdair McLellan Photoshoot Switches Up Male and Female Looks

The Winter 2014/2015 O32C Alasdair McLellan editorial switches up typically male and female looks. Models Stella Tennant, Tyler Littlejohns and Malcolm Edwards went against the grain in the high fashion production as they sported pieces commonly associated with opposing genders.

Displayed in McLellan's images are leopard print jackets, patterned tights, fur hats and floral wrap jackets. While readers may expect masculine pieces to be sported by the men and vice versa for women, the O32C publication switched it up, placing the males in skirts and Tennant in high-rise leather trousers.

McLellan furthered the unusual elements present in this series with outdoor swing sets and slides. These pieces made the series appear light and fresh in spite of the serious poses and looks.
