Reebok introduced its ZigTech technology in 2010 and in 2020, the brand is launching a brand-new silhouette called Zig Kinetica that is powered by energy return technology. The sneaker's silhouette is designed to channel and return energy with every step taken based on a three-part system that consists of a bouncy foam sole, the Zig Energy Shell and Zig Energy Bands that are said to expand and contract like rubber bands to provide spring-like actions. After testing the silhouette in 2019, Reebok is introducing its "biggest launch of 2020" with mixed martial arts star Conor McGregor.
Although the high-performance design of the energy return sneaker will be valuable for powering athletic pursuits, Reebok also notes that the sleek new style also seamlessly transitions to the street.
