Study after study shows individuals that sitting down all day is not good for their health; the XTable by Kibisi, a design studio based in Denmark, offers one way to add a little movement in the classic office setting. Unlike motorized workstations that are height-adjustable, this desk is controlled manually. Similar to an ironing board, it has a set of legs that cross over each other, hence its name. Unlike an ironing board, however, XTable by Kibisi is adjusted via a crank rather than a lever.
Designed for the Danish office furniture company Holmris, the XTable by Kibisi not only saves energy, it also encourages even more movement from its user. Although very minimalist as is, the XTable does come with an optional storage solution for office supplies and other belongings.
