The Xkuty One Bike's iPhone App Controls Speed and Battery Usage

The Electric Mobility Company has announced the Xkuty One bike, an e-bike it's calling the world's first to feature full iPhone integration. The bike interfaces with the smartphone using the Xkuty app, which can be used to set limits on a variety of things, including speed, acceleration and battery usage. Once the parameters are set, the iPhone is clipped into the center of the handlebars and you're ready to go.

In addition to letting you limit your electricity use, speed and acceleration, the Xkuty app can also detect when you fall or crash. It does this using the phone's gyroscope, and if a crash or fall is detected your phone can call a listed emergency number. The Xkuty One bike can hit speeds of up to 21 mph and is expected to sell for around $3,700.
