Netherlands-based architecture group JCA designed the Wooden Swimming Barn, a modern addition to a house in Biezenmortel that features an indoor pool.
The old barn was converted from a classic animal-housing structure, into a separate living space for the home with a fully functioning spa. The farm itself houses multiple generations of family members and animals, with little to no renovations from the time it was built. The design team turned the space into a unique getaway from all of the hard work that happens day to day. The main shape of the barn features large windows and exposed beams over the indoor pool, offering a modern loft-like aesthetic.
The Wooden Swimming Bar by JCA creates an oasis on a traditional farm, providing an escape for users with an aesthetically pleasing red timber exterior.
