Upcycled Wooden Plant Pots

Nir Meiri's 'New Mexico' Collection Employs 3D-Printing & Handmade Wood

'New Mexico' is both the name and inspiration for these wooden plant pots and lamps that focus on recycling, upcycling and locality in their design.

Nir Meiri created these pieces using terra-cotta clay planters, handmade wood rims as well as 3D-printed pots. The combination results in an ethical and beautiful collection of home decor objects. The warm pieces boast a desert-themed color scheme that consists of black, rust and natural wood tones.

With a terra-cotta planter resting in a black 3D-printed holder, cacti are attractively showcased above wooden rims that highlight their natural beauty. Shown during London Design Week, these wooden plant pots are joined by a similar upside-down version that are hung from the ceiling as lamps. Finally, the same design is reproduced as speakers, adding functionality to design.
