Wooden Computer Replicas

This Macintosh Design Boasts a Wooden Keyboard with Gold-Plated Zinc Keys

Love Hultén is a master of wooden technology designs -- from a retro Battlecade game to a warm walnut wooden keyboard -- he is a design genius that pairs old with the new. The latest creation he's made is a replica of the original Macintosh from 1984, complete with a wooden monitor, keyboard and even a stylized portable mouse.

The design is stunning, packed not with the brains of an old computer, but instead a Mac Mini computer so that it can function with current technology abilities while appearing to be retro. Furthermore, what would have been a floppy disk drive in the past, is now an optical DVD drive.

Named the 'Golden Apple,' the computer's wooden keyboard has gold-plated zinc keys that shine against the smooth surrounding walnut.
