Sleek Austrian Winery Makeovers

The Wine Cellar for Clemens Strobl Winery is Surprisingly Modern

A local Austrian designer Marek Gut of Austrian design firm March Gut has recently partnered up with architect Christoph March of Wolfgang Wimmer in renovating a former wine cellar. The wine cellar, in conjunction with the Clemens Strobl Winery, is located in the lower regions of Austria in the Wagram region.

The structure is inspired by the former wine cellar’s existing structures. Two of the exteriors have now been converted into a four-level wine cellar. By rejuvenating the structure’s more dated sections, the architects and designers have added newer spaces to house the wine cellar and a showroom for the various wines.

The cellar is simple and modern, showcasing clean elements of design that showcase wooden accents throughout the space, with frames constructed at an angle to enhance the dynamics of the winery landscape.
