Sinister Drink Recipes

This Festive Whiskey Cocktail Makes a Frightening Halloween Beverage

This whiskey cocktail might have been created for Halloween festivities, but the dark drink is also appropriate for a number of themed parties. Created by Cassandra Lavalle at the blog Coco + Kelley, the alcoholic beverage is dubbed 'The Dark.' The recipe contains accessible ingredients, but looks rather dark and sinister.

The whiskey cocktail contains Irish whiskey, coffee liqueur and walnut liqueur. It's also garnished with edible flowers and poured over ice. As photographed by Meghan Klein, The Dark can also be accessorized with a striped straw and butterfly. The dark color gives the libation some edge that has nothing to do with alcohol content. Even if you aren't looking for a special drink to serve at parties, this beverage is an excellent choice.
