Weeknight Club Partying

Thursday is the New Saturday

Within the major nightlife capitals of the world, it's completely feasible to get a Saturday-night club experience on traditionally slow days like Monday or Tuesday. Office workers who keep a regular 9-5 day often regret clubbing on work nights. There's a new trend in nightlife, however, that aims to attract working professionals out of their homes and into the dance clubs on weeknights by offering earlier alternatives to late-night partying.

At the Gladstone Hotel in Toronto, Canada, for example, Wednesday night dance parties begin at 7:30 PM and end at 10 PM at the famed Melody Bar. There's no cover, and live entertainment--including DJs--to get you in the mood for partying.

And in Belgium, Bart Van Orshoven's After Work Parties begin at 7 PM and end at 1 AM on various weeknights. The doors close at 9 PM, so there isn't a moment where the dance floor isn't ripe for partying.

Venues around the world are beginning to cater to us working stiffs who want our weekends back. It's only a matter of time before these events are held in a city nearest you.
