Floating Energy Generators

WaveNET is a Floating Power Generating Contraption

The WaveNET is a floating and fully scalable wave power generation contraption that consists of numerous generator units dubbed 'Squids'. These Squids harvest wave energy via their buoyant arms and rise and fall with the motion of the waves. Squids can link up with as many as three other squids, effectively forging a massive floating and flexible grid.

Since the WaveNET system is set up as an array, it is capable of extracting energy from five out of the six standard degrees of wave movement -- pitch, roll, heave, surge and sway.

The WaveNET contraptions are likely to be adopted by offshore businesses such as oil rigs and aquaculture facilities as well as remote communities that are located close to rough seas but far from other conventional sources of power.
Trend Themes
1. Wave Power Generation - The development of floating generators presents an opportunity for more efficient and scalable wave power generation.
2. Flexible Grid Systems - The ability for Squids to link together to create a flexible grid system presents opportunities for innovative energy distribution strategies.
3. Offshore Energy Solutions - The adoption of WaveNET contraptions is likely to disrupt the offshore energy industry by providing a more sustainable and cost-effective alternative to traditional energy sources.
Industry Implications
1. Offshore Oil & Gas - WaveNET presents an opportunity for offshore oil and gas companies to adopt more sustainable energy solutions and reduce their carbon footprint.
2. Aquaculture - WaveNET contraptions can provide a reliable and low-cost source of energy for aquaculture facilities, allowing them to operate more efficiently and sustainably.
3. Remote Communities - WaveNET contraptions can provide a source of power for remote communities located near rough seas, expanding access to reliable and sustainable energy sources.
