Auto-Cleaning Fishtank Gardens

The Second-Generation Water Gardens Requires No Maintenance

Fishtanks are notorious for requiring a lot of maintenance, but the second-generation Water Gardens are intended to offer a way to keep a tank clean and also maintain a mini garden.

Designed by Pablo Velazquez, the Water Garden works to push the fish waste that is created in the bowl upward to the roots of the plants. This works to keep the fish in clean water as well as help the plants to grow up to twice as fast as without the ammonia-rich waste.

The second-generation Water Gardens cycle the water with the waste up to the plants and, after being filtered, sends the fresh water back into the tank. This makes the Water Garden virtually maintenance-free thanks to the self-cleaning design.
